Tutor Intelligence is building and deploying industrial robot applications for packaging and manufacturing facilities. As we scale up our production capabilities, a new role is available for a technician to build and maintain our growing robot fleet.
Your job will be to work closely with engineering to build robots and ensure a high quality standard. You will also likely find yourself occasionally travelling to customer sites to assist with installation of robot hardware.
In a given day, here are some things you might be doing:
Running inventory and ordering parts from various suppliers in advance of robot production.
Operating and maintaining a 3D print farm
Assembling robot grippers, control components, vision systems.
Running command line scripts and other software setup steps
Performing extensive quality assurance tests on hardware
Updating and improving documentation for constructing robots
Teaching production techniques to other members of the production team
You’ll learn a lot here - about pneumatics, robots, 3d printers, inventory, soldering, manufacturing. We don’t expect you to know all things to start - the target candidate is looking to learn and grow in this role, and has a background doing something technical - maybe you can repair bikes/cars, have a 3D printing hobby, or built an electric skateboard.
If you have a bit of a stronger background - experience using solidworks or designing PCBs for example, we can put that to work as well.
We’re a small startup starting to have more complicated production needs, and we are looking for someone who can take ownership, work collaboratively with both engineering and the rest of the production team, and ensure our customers get the highest quality robot systems.
