Tutor Intelligence is seeking a mechanical engineer to help us build the next generation of accessible and intelligent robot hardware. In this role, you will build robot grippers, enclosures, auxiliary actuated devices, and mounts/connections. You will own the lifecycle of many projects, from ideation through design, sourcing, and production.
We seek someone with experience prototyping and building electromechanical devices, including robots, electric vehicles, and any other type of actuated device.
This is a position that optimizes for speed and creativity. We primarily design for rapid prototyping (3D printing, hand assembly, Send Cut Send/rapid fabrication) with extreme quick iteration cycles.
At Tutor, projects move fast and change frequently. It is unlikely you will work on a single one for more than a few weeks in a row.
